On 6 February 2026, members of the Board of Directors and Supervisors of the Federation of Chinese Associations (VIC) were invited to attend the Year of the Horse Spring Festival Reception hosted by the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in Melbourne.

At the event, Mr. Chen Yunguo, President of FCA, delivered a speech on behalf of Chinese community leaders. In his remarks, he highlighted the important role played by the Chinese community in Victoria in preserving national spirit and promoting Chinese culture, describing them as “a group of fine horses galloping forward in a foreign land.”

On behalf of Chinese community organisations, Mr. Chen also expressed his sincere appreciation to the Consulate-General of China in Melbourne for its long-standing care and support.

Following the speeches, Consul-General Fang Xinwen presented the guest speakers with beautifully crafted and festive horse-themed commemorative ornaments.
